Introducing Kalamazoo Chiropractor Dr. Andy Boesky

The only person who knew for sure that I hadn't lost my mind was the Chiropractor...

Kalamazoo Chiropractor, Dr. Andy Boesky with his daughter, Alice

I was very skeptical about chiropractic... but after my first adjustment I felt alive and energized. My sinuses opened up before I left the office. The only person who knew for sure that I hadn't lost my mind was the Chiropractor.  I knew then that there was something to it.

Traditional medicine seemed like the only way of eliminating a symptom but never seemed provide anything beyond symptom relief.   But Chiropractic really clicked with me almost the moment of my first spinal adjustment.  The fact that a spinal adjustment eliminates pain AND helps the body help itself seems like a higher standard of health care. My Chiropractor also had a different, "more caring" attitude than the traditional MD's I had seen in the past.   He really seemed to love his work, and his patients too.  It was a big inspiration for me.

Before long I was a new student at Life Chiropractic University.  The first-year science courses were difficult but I soon entered the more inspiring patient-care curriculum.  I was inspired by another chiropractor, Dr. Larry Webster who was one of my teachers. Dr. Webster was a nationally known pediatric chiropractor.  I saw him adjust a 1 month-old infant.  Not only did this little patient get better, but he cared for the child and the parents... it looked so easy. I am glad to have worked with him and practice much of his work in our office.

Dr. Andy with his wife, MaryWe have a few ideas that we all follow here... such as to "always be friendly and respectful to our patients", and "talk with patients as partners rather than down to them as body parts" and finally, "be accessible to everyone who is ready to get well."    Simple ideas that we all agree on.  All of us at the office have an understanding of honesty and integrity that is unspoken.  It just feels right to do right by each other, and our patients.  From financial matters to patient care, we find it easy to speak plainly, clearly and honestly.

Our objectives in patient care is always in the following order:

  1. Help the person with the symptom feel better,
  2. Explain the process of releif, correction and wellness care, as best we can,
  3. Provide the right amount of care and leave the door open for people to come and go as they please.

My wife Mary and I have one daughter named Alice.  I am an artist at heart but also love nature.  Cars and  photography are both long-time hobbies.  Alice is 6 and we love her dearly.  Mary and I met through mutual friends, a chiropractor and a nurse.  Coincidentally, we too are a "chiropractor and nurse-couple".  Can you imagine the roof-raising arguements we have had over vaccinations?

Parents often ask my opinion about vaccines, and this is what I say... "The decision to vaccinate should be an INFORMED decision.  How informed are you, REALLY?"  Please take the time to read and listen to others who do not have an interest in pushing more medications on you and your children.

Dr. AndyYou may be surprised that unvaccinated kids are often healthier, and are not getting the dreaded diseases so many are fearful of.  There are large communities of people who are speaking out about the health risks of vaccines.  They are often parents that look just like you and me whose children have suffered a health tradgedy from harmful vaccines. We do not pressure parents on these matters but want everyone to learn more.  We can provide resources for parents who are interested.

After reading countless articles, books, magazine articles, and going to (and even giving) seminars about the dangers of vaccines, we still began vaccinating Alice when she was a baby.   Sometimes I feel this is one of my biggest regrets in life...she developed some immune problems that I still believe were caused from those vaccinations.  Mary and I have since discontinued all vaccines for our daughter.

I am looking forward to meeting you, and meeting your needs for a healthy alternative to your lifestyle.  Give my office a call today!  I am interested in helping you.

Dr. Andy Asks some important questions of interest to Kalamazoo residents - Chiropractor Kalamazoo Dr. Andy Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Is chiropractic safe?
What do you consider safe? Chiropractic care is safer than driving your car on the streets of Kalamazoo, getting back surgery, taking aspirin and even safer than taking a shower in your own home! Compared with things we accept as safe, chiropractic care is even safer. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
